Long Mynd Photo Competition


Thank you to everyone who entered our first ever photo competition at the Long Mynd! It was a great success with lots of lovely entries. Our panel of judges found it very difficult to decide on the winners as there were so many beautiful photographs submitted. But after much deliberation the winners were chosen and here they are!


Childrens Category

1st Place - Calum McAdie-Kelly (12 years old)
For this lovely photo of Bullheads at the bottom of Carding Mill Valley.



2nd Place - Scarlett Classick (6 years old)
A sweet photo of an insect resting on an orienteering post in Carding Mill Valley. 



3rd Place - Natasha Earley (10 years old)
A very interesting photograph of the rocks and ripples of water in the stream beneath the bridge in Carding Mill Valley.



Adults Category

1st Place - Pauline Rivers
This photo of a emperor moth caterpillar on a Gorse bush is stunning.



2nd Place - Heather Hathaway
This colourful photo of a dark green fritillary resting on a thistle is beautiful and eye-catching, taken in Jonathon's Hollow.



3rd Place - John Fry
A lovely photo of the waterfall in Carding Mill Valley in the winter.
